Default Squab height adjustment, bushes.

Hi
I need to replace the oval bushes/spacers in the seat squab height adjustment of my 440.
I have tried my local dealer and they tell me they are on back order and there are none in the country.

Does anyone have any ideas on where I might be able to source some?

This is the second time in the 5 yrs i have owned the car that I've needed to do this job, they are a cast metal and the percussive effect of raising/lowering the seat seems to break them up a bit quickly.

Private motorists probably don't alter squab height very often but I mine is a driving school car.

Hello john, a good engineering shop should be able to help you out here and may offer some better materials as a replacement. I've had a lot of stuff made over the last year or so in local shops so it may be worth a try?

i had the same problem with mine, they completely broke up and so the seat wobbled under acc or braking, i found some at the local breakers yard, by some strange coincidence they happened to appear in my toolbox when i got home.

i'd say try the breakers, or as previously suggested, get some made up!!
