I got a set for about £100 + VAT from Salvo in Derbyshire. They're not cheap things I'm afraid

I just purchased a pair of roof rails on eBay last night for £60 + £17 carriage. Prior to that I was quoted by Bradgate Motors (01709 552 855) £80 + £10 carriage + VAT (Total £105.75).
To get a handle on whether I was getting a fair deal, I got a price from Motorworld for new roof rails. Including VAT the quote was £342.75 (OUCH!!!). It makes the price you got from the breakers (Total £152.75) seem not too bad.

I've got a pair of roof bars but i'm not sure if they are the ones your looking for, they are guinine volvo they were in the last 850 estate i had and i've never used them as my 850 did not have the two front to back rails ... Kimi .... And they will be cheap as i'm not greedy !

Default 850 Roof rails

Hi, I have just joined the Club today. I had several Volvos the last one being a 850 T5 Est '95.
I bought a set of new Volvo roof bars/rails and have no use for them as I am no longer a Volvo owner. I used them a couple of times to attach ski clamps to. They are the two bars that go across the roof from gutter to gutter - are these called bars or rails?
The official label on the box calls the "Tackracke"
Are these of interest to anyone? They were pricey but will let them go for £50.
