What is the main difference between BW35
So what is the main difference between a BW35 auto box from a 140 series and the 164 series ?
From my little knowledge the Torque converters are different in size - but is this the only difference ? In this respect I am thinking of floor mounted shifts. Could you fix a BW55 gearbox to a Volvo 164 ?

Thank you for the links - a good source of information.
However there is no information on Torque Converters - was the Torque Converter in the Volvo 164 larger than the one in the Volvo 140 ?

As such it probably is larger but it's so long since i tinkered with 1xx Volvos that i'd be guessing on this.
