No winter mode on the gearbox but will put sand in the boot just incase though, good call on that.

Not to put you off, but if it's that one from D&S Motors, did you look at the dealer's reviews on Autotrader ? The dealer's reviews appear a little mixed.

I really didn’t to be honest it was cheap and it drove alright 🤦 so we’ll see , hopefully it will be ok, just read those reviews they really are mixed, probably should of looked before but time will tell it runs spot on to be fair.

Of the 11 reviews, only 3 had problems after purchase, and there will be a tendency for people to post when they have had a problem, rather than when they have something positive or neutral to say, so good luck.

The 3 series compact reviews are an interesting read as well, if you have time to waste, Watch those roundabouts !!

https://www.autotrader.co.uk/owner-r...91608dc1208b71

Couple examples:

"I am 19 and have owned my E46 Compact for just over a year. On the first day i got it i spun it out on a roundabout - thankfully me and the car came out unscathed. But it shows that you should be easy with the right foot in the beginning as driving a rear wheel car is different to front wheel drive cars............................................ In one year i have had no breakdowns and she's never struggled to start, despite being a 17 year old car. I would thoroughly recommend buying one as for the money you won't get any better........"

"Lost a lot of money on this car due to undisclosed fault,.......... buying a Volvo next lol"

Another update actually took it back and got my money back after plugging into it the abs pump is knackered and they’re refusing to fix it and don’t want my kids in it with a fault on it.

So back to hunting again but back on days tomorrow until Tuesday so borrowing my dads Range Rover until then gonna need a fuel tanker behind me.

Cheers again for the help and advice much appreciated
