Default 240 estate high level brake light unit

Hella unit, apparently off an '89. I bought this intending to use it on my Amazon estate. However, when offered up to fit, the mountings weren't quite what I had in mind. Consists of the mounting bracket that attaches to the tailgate, the inner unit with the light itself, and the clip-on cover. The only damage is that the foam where it sits against the glass has a split but once fitted this shouldn't be noticeable. Wiring intact & uncut. Bulb untested, but easy to change if required.

Prefer collection at the Southern BKV this Sunday, but can post if required.

£5 collected, approx £10 posted (would need to confirm the postage cost).

Cheers,

Paul

Would I be able to fit this to a '79?

I'm also a Londoner, so would be happy to collect - I'm not in the club yet so I don't know where the BKV is, and mine's not really in the right condition to enter anyway

No idea tbh, as I don't know enough about the 200 series.

Whereabouts in London? I'm in SW17. The BKV is essentially a club rally & AFAIK, non members are welcome, but not eligible for the judging. Many cars on the show field aren't entered for the judging anyway, my own included, so don't let condition put you off attending. Details of the Southern here:

SW16! We're neighbours

I think it would make little sense for us both to travel so far from home to meet... How about I come over & we can offer it up, and if sense can be made of how to proceed, I'll buy it?
