… I’m coming to think I might like to organise my own DIY funeral Andrew: a nice wicker casket, maybe buy a little plot of woodland… and what about owning my own hearse… now that would be coolio.

You really need a Viking longboat; or visit the Shetland Isles for Up Helly'a and ask them to torch you!

Mentioned this one several weeks ago, and been keeping an eye on it, for weeks now it’s been showing deposit received, but advert still listed.
https://www.carandclassic.com/car/C1730375 A few weeks ago, I did email them asking if the ‘sale’ had stalled, or what was happening, no response. Anyway, been away on hols, and had five mins to spare, so I called them. Surprise, surprise, the alleged ‘sale’ was clearly a marketing ploy to create supposed demand at very high listed asking price, as he said that it was available and would I like to view……… Not at that price, thanks you. As for that very expensive 245, it was most odd as it appeared and almost immediately it had the ‘deposit accepted’ added to the listing. After a few weeks, it just didn’t sit right that a deal hadn’t been completed, if not, take the deposit bit off the listing would be most dealers first course of action. I may of course be completely wrong, but it just seems to me that they were fishing, trying to make out the car is in demand, and by association, at that extortionate price, perhaps hooking a buyer. This brings back memories, dad had a Mercedes-Benz (W111) 220B and was looking for a change, try as I might to talk him into buying a 164 he ignored me and bought a Rover 3.5 Litre Coupe https://auctions.wbandsons.com/aucti...-164/?lot=1795
