when built

Hi all, dose anyone know how I can find out when my 142 was built as I need to know if it is eligeable for pre 1968 competition status. It says on the V5 that it was first registered on 20/2/68 but I have heard that it may have been built earlyer, if this is true then I might be able to get the car in to the pre68 class which would make the car more in line, competetivly speaking, with other makes.

I contacted Volvo Heritage, they supplied build date & other information for my 142S. I initially contacted them by email & they also sent the info out as an official letter for the DVLA. all for free too!
