Well, after a few false starts the 144 finally goes into the paint shop tomorrow.
It's looking a bit sorry for itself at the moment and it's going to be a very noisy drive to the shop tomorrow, 40 miles with no sound proofing, door panels, door seals, floor cocering etc, just a shell. Worth it in the long run. Hope the GNR don't stop me!

Gold 9129M. It overcomes the need to change doc's and not too far from original
If it can happen it will happen. driving to paint shop this morning on back roads, got stopped at a GNR check point. First time since I have been here!
Checked doc's, commented nice car, and sent me on my way.

Update. Work in good progress.I feel confident in the workers, they seem thorough and conscientious. looking to replace window lifters, are they the same front and rear? I only see front listed in catalogue.
Flash is a bit weak.
The good news is that they got all the glass out without breaking any.

Looking like a decent welding job there at there.
lets hope they do any other welding as neatly, and if they paint it as well as there welding it, you will have a stunner there

Yes, I'm very pleased so far, they are doing a professional job, they have a skilled panel beater taking the wrinkles out of one door and It's a joy to watch him work. It won't be cheap but worth it. Will post more pic's next week.
