Default Volvo Selekt Warranty/MOT Cover

Has anyone made any claims on Selekt Warranty or MOT Cover?

My car went in to the local dealer for Service and MOT today, 8 months into my 12 Month Selekt warranty/MOT Insurance.

Just had the vehicle healthcheck back and there was an "Urgent Attention" item found in that the undertray fixings are broken and specifically the Air Guide (that the undertray fixings go into) requires replacing.

Now reading the finer points on the MOT Insurance there is a clause which seems to be a get out of jail free card for the Insurance company which states that the costs for replacing/repairing "Any parts which have not actually failed, which are replaced or are reported during routine servicing" are not covered.

So if my understanding is correct the loose undertray is an MOT fail, but because I put my car in for it's MOT and Service on the same day.... the MOT insurance is about as much use as a chocolate teapot as the dealer always does the servicing first..... hence how the problem was notified to me.

I think this might end up being a phonecall with Volvo Customer Services
