SOLVED!!!!! Yes!!!!!😊😊😊😊
Hi all,
Just wanted to report back but I have finally solved this mysterious knock/vibration on acceleration. Having previously checked all my bushes, control arms, wheel bearings, lower ball joints wishbones et cetera I have finally found what the noise was being caused by. It was, wait for it, the engine mount that sits beneath the serpentine pulley on the driver-side. On inspection it didnt look that the Bush was significantly deteriorated but on removal it was proper buggered. £41 spend on a new bush has completely solved this issue and took me under two hours to replace I did do a few other little jobs in the wheel well at the same time. Just sharing this news in case anyone else has this unusual noise that they cant track down check this engine mount! Hope this is of help. Nigel. Last edited by NMB; May 29th, 2022 at 16:46. |
