Do not knock their build quality some of the stuff from recent years was actually well put together.

Would you trust them with £20-£25k though. Better but not up to the standards that are expected now. Give the designs to another company to actually build, one that has a solid reputation, and sales would rocket. Imagine for example that Audi took them into the VW/Audi empire and some German engineers took control of production. The Germans would be banned from the design process but allowed to mfr it. As per the initial point the Italians design beautiful cars.

VW keeps on repeating, that they are interested in buying Alfa. Just Macchione won't allow it - as he will do anything to stop VW growing more.

The next MX-5/Spider WILL be a good car.

-> Italian design
-> Japanese build quality
-> Italian engine
-> Japanese reliablitiy

THAT is already clear and the car will probably be THE BEST Alfa since a bloody long time!

Yep.Gave the word crap a new definition. It was like Alfa were hell bent on also finishing of what reputation Datsun had at the time...lol..!!
