S60 D5 SE - Manual 2003 '03' new flywheel, Intercooler....
Volvo S60 D5 SE - 171,000 miles - Manual 2003 '03'
£1999 ono Just a feeler advert before I go down the route of Ebay or Autotrader as I'm still a little undecided if to sell so free adverts first. Despite the higher miles its in great condition, sounds great, goes great and returns great MPG. With my daily commute using a mix of A & B roads £50 of diesel gives me a range of 350’ish miles. With some important work carried out (see below) and a full service history its ready to last 1000’s of more miles yet. Important bit – 2 known weak spots sorted: On 01/08/2012 at 165k it had a brand new LUK Dual mass flywheel, slave cylinder and clutch. It was the slave cylinder that failed but whilst it was in bits I had the whole lot changed. If your looking at one of these Volvo’s its so important to find out if its all been changed. I had it fitted with ‘mates rates’ at ETS Derby so I saved a few ££ on labour bit still cost me £700 inc parts. Without the help of a friend I was looking at a bill of around £1100. New Intercooler fitted at 149k (05/09/2011) again this is not a cheap fix at £300-£400 garage prices but I fitted the new one myself so it was part price only. Car details: 2 front tyres same time as clutch 171k with Full Service History (Volvo up to 143k then myself since ownership, next service 175k) Cambelt changed at 105k (90k change intervals) so next change due 195k I’m the 4th owner (owned since 13/03/2011) MOT only until 16/01/2013 but this will be sorted and renewed between Christmas and New Year if I get any serious interest before renewal date (had a clean pass for the past 2 years) Tax until May 2013 HID 8000k dip beam headlight kit Parrot Bluetooth Kit USASpec iPod/iphone interface 2 Remote keys Great condition beige leather seats with drivers seat looking great despite the higher miles Electric drivers seat with memory Climate control Powerful Dolby ProLogic in-dash 4 CD stereo, sounds great Black body trims been treated with GTechniq C4 to keep them blacker for a longer Bad Bits: Scuff on rear bumper (on car when I purchased it) Drivers seat heating has stopped working and I suspect it’s the heating element inside the seat which can be changed but it’s not easy. Switch and fuse both checked and ok. Chip on drivers headlight (on car when purchased and never been an MOT problem or got any worse) Reason for selling: I love my BMW’s and I change my cars quite often but this one has been with me longer than anything in the last 10 years but it’s time to go back to the Germans. So if your wanting something a little cheaper I’d consider a swap with a 330d Sport up to 3k. Car is in Duffield, Derby |
