Starting to high, always devalues car, on T5D5 we have a rule that price must be stated on any advert, as the over hype, and no price, means you are after way more than its true value

you start by saying everything works as it should etc, and putting down other ads, yet yours has the Dash and other problems that every other 480 had, you should have taken the 850 and run, its been sitting (possiby outside) for over 2 months, the MOT is getting shorter, its a 'rare' car, so anyone looking is gonna google

I'll put 20p on this car selling in the end for 750 or less - Batteries gonna probably need replacing now, and if its been standing outside - its gonna have been getting condensation inside.............

I've always been totally honest with ads, usually make it out to be slightly worse than it is, stuck a 'what would I want to pay' price on cars when I sell them (both mine, and friends) and sold for listed price within 48hrs, and I always tell people, turn up with the cash, or don't bother....... first come first served.

even at 950 you have you 10 quid listing (possibly twice as they only give 1 extra relisting) and 75 quid selling fee on Ebay

its a tenner on auto trader for sub 1k, which in all honesty you would have never realistically got - 999 or 950 on autotrader, and you would have walked away with probably 900 quid in your pocket within a week of listing

But with Autotrader you would also get all the tw@ts calling you up and saying "we have people in your area, looking for your car. Just send us £50 and we'll pass on your details to them".

It's £10 to list a car on ebay and an extra £20 if it sells for less than £2000 so it's definitely the place to sell a car these days Just £30 taken out of your pocket

I thought that was for classified, rather than auction with BIN (thought its 10% final value up to 75 quid max), as regards autotrader I always put no muppets, exchanges for you unwanted tat (Inc relatives) and only people with intention of pay with hard cash should contact.

I also will send people away when they say I've got 700 quid on me now, I just tell them better go to a cash point and get the rest then, B4 someone else comes with the right amount.

Always have a spare mobile, with a free sim and couple of quid credit, then you aren't giving anyone your proper number, and once car is sold just turn off phone
