model year changes
Was 1985 the year the bonnet went from flat to raised in the centre (a la 260) ? Maybe that's the reason for the purchaser's preference. Personally I always preferred the raised bonnet, particularly with an all black grill. Actually, now i think about it that came in in 1983 didn't it. That's the car I passed my driving test in - a new red 245 Y-reg estate. It was like a fire engine. The examiner said I was rather brave! (I passed).
