Default Front seat refurb.

I have replaced my drivers seat leather with used leather from BOB's owner I used the passenger leather and fitted it to the drivers seat. I used Steves 244's great quide, as to how to dismantle/fit the seat cover

The only thing I was aware of was the seat lumber knob would leave a hole in the leather as it was the passenger side. I cut a circular patch out of the old seat cover and stitched it over the hole. It's noticable and I'm no good at sewing but the patch is far better than leather thats worn and split and was hidden under a seat cover

What paint would you use on the buttons on the seats as most of mine the paint/ black has worn off?
The next job is to fit my DR light and change the thermostat

What leather conditioner do people recommend?

Some pictures. They are not the best as it was quite dusk and raining!!

James

When I had 'Marvin' my 244GLT ( don"t ask) I used Humbrol Gloss black, yes the stuff for Airfix kits. It worked a treat for me! Good luck James.

The best leather conditioner I've used products are Gliptone- 'Liquid Leather'. They even smell really good- like new leather. Better than an air freshener any day. I'm not too fond of the cleaner, but the conditioner is great- the leather just sucks it up and it makes it nice and soft. You can feel it working, becuase it even softens your hands while applying it! A great job to do when you have dry cracked skin.

cheers,
Brian
