Default Rear Seat Entertainment, DVD Screens no power...Fuse?

Morning all.

Does anyone know the fuse number that would power the rear seat (In headrest DVD's) or if there is an in line fuse?

These we're once working but I had an issue with the battery where I overcharged it (Out of the car) causing it to bulge!!! So I replaced it for a new equivalent, they did work again briefly but now seems there is no power.
I've again charged the "New" battery just to make sure, but still no joy.

I've attached a picture in case it makes a difference.

Regards

Si

Thanks very much Danielpsmith. I'll be sure to have a look.

Did a bit of browsing and found this handy little site which gives the fuse locations for model years 2008 - 2014.

Tbh, that doesn't look like Volvo UK, or Volvo factory (Sweden) option kit, so you may be lucky and the installers used the Volvo recommended fuse positions, but then again maybe not, just dont be down heartened if its a bit of a wild goose chase using wiring diagrams on the web page you have used as it looks like North America, and a lot of the specs and wiring do not follow what is std in Europe.

Be methodical and you will get there.

Twas fuse 6&7 in the rear fuse box on mine ... that was a factory single DVD player and 8" screens.

Thanks TruckbusUK, I think it's definitely aftermarket, they're branded Xtrons, will be having a look this morning, like you say hopefully they used the Volvo fuse positions. I'll report back.

Not sure if this helps. I have an early XC90 with the rse fitted aftermarket by Volvo UK from new. Many early models used this system.

This unit has a 10 d player under the floor on the boot, to the nearside of the battery.

I have the wiring diagram for this kindly supplied by a member a while back but note it is simply with power spliced into the 12v power harness on the rear ecu ( by the rear nearside wheel. There is a fuse in the rem of my model for 'infotainment' but also an in line fuse on the unit itself.

Nothing on this early system interfaces with any car electronics.

I suggest yours could be wired in a similar manner and would be looking for a similar connection and checking the ground and 12v supply.

Hope this helps
