Yes I do mean airbag service light.

I drove her tonight to Harlow and and the dash instruments all operate save clock and the error messages bias. However the orange warning lights up, hopefully coverable by a nicely slip of electrical tape to get through an mot ! Unfortunately I do not have DICE so cannot give a definitive resolution.

If you would like some pics please send an email address, will gladly oblige

Paul,

Thanks for the response. I wanted to send this via PM but don't have the number of posts yet.

I'm less inclined now knowing it could be a bit of a pain to test again. I'm always happy with a bit of spannering, bushes, brakes etc but the airbag thing is potentially beyond economic sense for me, especially at that price.

I don't wish to insult you with a low offer and appreciate the open and honest description of the faults. It's a shame cause I do have a penchant for rescuing old dogs and cars lol.

Cheers
Ritch

Not a problem, I might even end up with another Years MOT at the end of Jan, but have decided not to spend a penny on her until that time arrives.

I woke up this morning feeling like a dog turd so it has been a day of reflection !

One of my options is of course to sort the DIM and get another MOT in Jan. Were I to do this are you remotely interested or are you in the position of not being able to afford that pair of shoes !

I am confident the airbag warning light is not much at all but such confidence is of course no use to you and we both know electrics / diagnostics can be absurdly expensive.
