Default C30 wishbones...what size balljoint?

Hi I hope someone can help, I have a 2010 C30 1.6 drive r-design. I need to replace the front lower arms but the come with 2 different size balljoint s....21mm or 18mm and no one not even Volvo parts dept can tell me which one I need. Please help! Thanks

You must use your chassis number, most after market vendors list both parts and give the chassis number when the change happened. I'm surprised at the Volvo dealer because the information is readily available on their parts computer system. Give the service manager a call and complain.

Like John said, it's based on the chassis number (found as part of the vin),

Up to and Inc 000260 it's 18mm, 000261 and onwards 21mm (https://www.volvoparts.tmsmotorgroup...nt-10310-p.asp)

Given that yours is a 2010 model, I'd be surprised if they aren't the 21mm ones

You will need the 21mm, our 2007 model uses these so it's only the really early cars that have the smaller size.

Bear in mind that the control arm bolts should also be replaced and to only torque them up once under load.
