Post D4162T non volvo engine hard parts replacement alternative

The hard parts in my S40 1.6D2 engine has been damaged.
It's been my first car, and due to my little (no expirience at all) expirience, I've been driving already damaged car (as I've been told later) for around 10 kilometers or more, and damaged almost every peace in the engine, despite that it was able to drive all that path which is impressive btw.

The inserts of crankshaft has been wiped out during my last drive, and engine started to knock, but at that moment I was long way from home, and had to get to the nearest city by any cost, and thought I could still drive the car in that state, which was my biggest mistake.

So now I've to replace almost every hard part that is in the eninge, and I'm wondering what others car enigne's pillar can I use, so that my let's call them "soft parts" (e.g turbo charger, timing belt, injectors, etc) from volvo D4162T would fit onto. Or in other words, what other car engine pillar can I use?

I know that the D4162T is refering to PSA DV6C model code according to one of the articles in russian web site. That is, 8 valves psa diesel engine. And in general that there are plenty PSA DV6* diesel engines that were used in big variety of cars that shares someting in common.

I also have found cameron1 post on this forum that tried ford focus 1.6 TDCi engine and it fitted into his car, but can only gues was it full set engine or only the pillar. And I can't tell whetehr they shared the same psa engine code or not. As there is no info about that.

So the big questions is, does every DV6 engine that was manufactured in same period of time (e.g same generation) has same engine pillar, so that they are interchangeable, and only soft parts are different?
Or it's specific case for each of the DV6 modification, e.g DV6C has somehow different hard part that DV6D, and so not all of the soft parts will be compatible between those engines hard parts?
