was trying mine at all speeds upto 70mph, it just would not illuminate ''CRUISE'' on the dash , just wondering how u r supposed to make it work, u just supposed to switch it on , and its supposed to work , or do u need to turn it to resume on push the set buttons 1st , got it working once, so it does work somehow ...lol

AFAIK there is no dash light - there's certainly not on my 97 V70 or SWMBO's 98 S70.

Anyway, if the same as ours, push the slider on the cruise / indicator arm to 'ON', drive to the speed you want to set, then press in and hold for a few seconds the upper arm of the rocker switch on the end of the indicator stalk.

Touching the brakes will disengage the cruise at once.

Pressing the top part of the rocker again increases the set speed (1 mph per push), pushing the lower side reduces the speed.

Push the slider to RESUME to re-engage the last speed set.

Will only work above 30 mph.

If this doesn't work there must be a problem.

Cheers

Jack

as capt jack says above, another point to note is that it might take a few seconds before it seems to cut in.

As well as touching the brake pedal to switch the cruise control off you can also lightly touch the clutch pedal which saves confusing people behind you as brake lights flash on.
