Default A little research to be done by me!

I have just become the proud owner of a 144 delux "N " reg which i think is 1974/5. iTS ACTUALLY 1974 5TH SEPTEMBER TO BE ABSOLUTELY EXACT.

The car is 1986 cc maroon and is just turning 100,000 miles.

I need some advice on the following;

Fuel; the right type to use.

Shudder on take off, curious it seems only to happen after releasing handbrake'

Indicator lamps lit all the while on dash and the opposite one flashes when its used, think its a relay.

Pink switch on left of dash is rear fog, whats the left one for?

And the bhp on the deluxe 4 speed manual if possible.

I would like to meet like minded people to keep this car on the road.

thanks all

Welcome!

Fuel, it's a low compression engine so will run on anything! Unless you're doing zillions of miles, not worth messing with the head.

Shudder could be the handbrake pads binding, a common fault.

Lights will be a relay or earth.

Pink switch - no idea!

My DL struggled to hit 50bhp on the Dyno, I think official is 88bhp.

Hope thats a start, lots of ideas to follow I'm sure.

I'd consider a rebuild on teh carb any way. Berlin fuel sustems are teh ppl to contact.

Wheels I have a good set of wheels if you are interested in a spare set while you get yours done. I had my 142 wheels blasted and painted by a place local to me and they look nice.
