I like it too. That is why, me and many others, installed Polestar. Many aftermarket remaps don't upgrade gearboxes. Polestar does it. And also changes AWD's distribution when is needed. More to the rear axle. A normal aftermarket remap doesn't intervene in those areas. And Polestar keeps the official warranty unaffected. Emissions also not altered. So i guess positive points in all. Expensive you might say. I agree. But it is what it is. 🤷

About horses 🐎😄😋 and torque... could be more. But as i wrote above in another post... the mechanic chief technician at my dealership told me the car would get around 200/205 hp. To be honest and the way it pushes I would point at near 210 hp and 50nm of torque. Top speed is 216 km/h on a straight line. With a margin error of 4km/h. So that makes 212 km/h. When the car was stock with 190hp and I was running on 19", I remember 205km/h was the top speed( 201km/h real).

After I changed to 20" wheels the car lost around 3 km/h, doing 202 km/h of top speed (198km/h real).
After Polestar Engineered Optimisation installed, it goes to 209 km/h in a "climbing road ↗️" always pushing and increasing until it reaches 216km/h in ➡️.
20" wheels are more heavy and also the tyres they use, are 2 measures up compared to 235/55 R19 tyres. more tyre more rubber more weight. And even so manages to get to 216km/h. I could easily reach 220km/h ↘️ For a D4 I think it's good and OK.

For the feel I have when I put on Polestar Engineered drive mode and I turn on Sport mode ESC OFF , the push that the car gives when I smash the pedal, I would say it has for sure way more than 200 hp. 210 hp my guess.

First days of July I'll go to a very reliable place outside Lisbon, where they measure competition cars, cars of national celebrities and youtubers that make car reviews, with FWD/RWD and AWD power tests, with the latest equipment and the best one, and I'll see how much my car is doing. I'll post here later on so you all get surprised about Polestar optimisation. For sure I'm not wrong. I have experience with cars. We all can feel a car and what it gives to you on the road. And let me remind you all that a XC60 weights around 2000kg. I mean a D4. It's a heavy car.
(A T8 for example is way up on kilograms because of the 🔋batteries weight.)

7,2 seconds (measured with Draggy equipment and with boost technique of brake pedal on and throttle pedal on between 1500 rpm and 2000 rpm, amateur launch control as I call it) from a standstill to 0-100km/h in a XC60 D4 FWD with 255 tyres, 8,5/20" rims and with a combined weight of 2100kg ( I'm a 110kg man) and with a top speed of 216km/h, i guess we all can say it's pretty good.

Tests results will give me reason or... maybe not. We'll see.

So if I'm right about the power, 190hp -210 hp ( extra 20hp) and with an additional 50 nm of torque, i think it's good enough to install Polestar. The problem is... money. Expensive. Around 1000 euros. And with the Polestar kit (badge, certificate and a printed plate) more 27 euros. 1027€. It could be cheaper. Way more. But again... it is what it is. Period.

I like this try before buy. I wonder if they put it on your own car and then after 14 days switch it off?? I work for a software company and I know a customer of ours will have all cars fully loaded. Then you can buy what you want and update the car. Headlight assist? No problem. Click and done.
