Default Impulse Sensor

Hi Al
Having a problem with my 55 plate D5 S60
Ii seem like a stall at times but the car keeps going but its getting worst
I have a icarsoft diagnostic kit and all that comes up is Impulse sensor faulty signal
Any help would be great
If its the ECM how hard is it to change that and would i have to take it to Volvo or will the car recognize it

Thanks
Steve

Hi.
I know this thread is old , but I am after some guidance

Did you manage to fix it?

I have the same fault on Volvo XC70 D5
, poor start , uneven idle , and poor running , was it crank sensor in your case?

Thanks

I did changed the crank sensor but it turned out that its a lose wire to the ECU relay
I changed the relay and it was fine for a time but started to get that stall again and it all seems to be down to the power going to the relay so looks like the problem is in the fuse box lose or poor connection
Hope this helps
