Question Error updating service information

I have just bought a used XC60 and have ben browsing the MyCar menus.

I found that the service info is out of date - the next service being shown is 17000 miles ago. So I selected Update and got the message:

"No new menu alternatives available"

What gives?

Hi Clan. Does this mean 1000 from now? I have now done 31000 miles and need to know when the next full service is due.

sorry , Misread that ,
The service interval is every 12 months or 18000 miles which ever comes first ...

It's 5 years old now which is the 90000 mile service , what's your mileage? I would get the correct 90000 mile service done which is the cambelt kit and aux belt and tensioner which is extra to a basic 18000 mile service . Then you will be on track for the future services . ...

I've only done 31000 miles. Is the cam-belt job age or mileage dependent?

ahh ok its 90000 miles or 10 years which ever comes first .. It is vital your aux belt is changed at 54000 miles ( not time, but MILES ) though .
when you have the service the service message will be reset and all good also software updates get done ( except maps which you do yourself from the volvo web site _

Hi Clan, a quick hijack. The aux belt at 54,000 is fine, but should this include tensioner? Also, should it include the aircon belt at the same time?

Thank you Clan. Having just spent out on the car, I really didn't need pricey cam-belt job as well! I'm getting a tow-bar fitted at the Volvo garage along with a software update, so they will presumably be able to update the record.

no just the belt at 54000 the tensioner is done with the cambelt .

Have you got the 5 cylinder or the 4 cylinder diesel?
