Do you mean cars running 30mm lowering springs or 70mm springs.

I think a google search should bring up some threads on turbo bricks or retro rides which have lowered cars.

Good question Chris! Most cars with worn springs will be 30mm lower than standard simply because the springs are sagging - when i renewed the rear springs and dampers on mine i gained 30mm ride height, if i'd gone for 40mm lower i would only have reduced the ride height by 10mm because the old springs were so saggy.

Not many cars running 70mm lower, it's not practical for everyday use. As you say, an internet search should yield some results though.

It's made quite a difference to the handling ! I also fitted a Viking Fab chassis brace which keeps the body roll down as well

Never going to be a great handling car at that size and weight but it's a lot less boaty

I might be wrong but I think the standard lowering springs are 40mm, not sure you can get 30mm ones. As its an older car your options are a little bit limited.

You can get 50 & 70mm springs from classicswede

I also drive a Mini and I need to remind myself that when driving the Volvo corners are not my friend :-)

Ya know what bud i think they have the potential to handle really well. Our 940 certainly feels nicer on the country roads than our p2 d5 v70 did. Hits the line well and seems responsive to input. Body feels like it could be tight if the suspension wasn't jelly on high profile tires.

I am really looking forward to how one handles with a refresh.

And it takes alot to impress me as im a 205 gti owner
