Default 2012 XC70 CV boot replacement

Evening all,
I was wandering if you can point me in the right direction for a cv boot replacement guide for my 2012 XC70 D5.
As far as I can tell to remove the cv axle I only need to remove the axle bolt ( re-tighten the new one to 26 ft/lbs), move the steering knuckle forward/backwards and slide the axle through. Then pry out the other end of the axle with a pickle fork….but how do I disassemble the cv joint to fit the new boot on?

I bought a new one from AUTODOC, but it’s a plastic one so it won’t go over with a cone.
