Haven't seen a 'noddy' bike for ever such a long time, even when growing up they were like hens teeth. I suppose most got scrapped.

When I bought my currect '90 in 2008 I had already decided that would be my last personal car. Its seen me into retirement, and when it dies - which may take some time yet! - that'll be it.
I love cars, find the machinery very interesting, but driving itself is a tiresome, unenjoyable chore. Pootling about quietly on my '53 Beeza 350 is much more fun and relaxing, and 40mph feels more like 80 on that old rattler - I don't need the danger to life, limb or my licence to have at least the sensation of speed. Nope, if personal car use were banned this afternoon I would not be unduly bothered.

^ I went out yesterday after lunch, grabbed a few new CD's, then went for a 4hr drive through a couple of gorges & took a scenic ridgeline road out to the foothills of the Blue Mountains ... a few nice roads, then up to one of the lower townships in the Mountains before heading back home.
No, I would very much miss going for a drive if self-driven personal transport were taken away. In light of that ULEZ thread, maybe the best answer is "get hold of something with a manual & force-fed 6+ litre engine and blast around the ULEZ for a few hours late at night before leaving it abandoned on a footpath in the middle of the CBD"? |

I know I commented earlier, but I really thought the original question was a question relating to the last car, the very last one to buy ever !
