700 prefacelift grille retaining trim

I'm after the drivers side grill retaining trim that the bottom of the grille sits in, at the top the grille passes through it where you put the V clips in.

Has anyone got one they would be willing to post and a 700 series prefacelift V clip too please? The V clips are the big chunky plastic ones not the 900 series thin metal ones

I'm a bit confused Luke - the bottom of the grille sits in two lugs on the crossmember behind the bumper/under the lights and the lugs have an oval slot (ideally) with a rubber oval grommet. Are you actually after the top bracket? The V-clips i'm fairly sure are universal across 700s and even early 9xx models, think they only went metal after ~1995 but might be wrong on that bit.

I'll try to get some pics of mine later and WhatsApp them to you. Although mine is the facelift 760, i belive the same grilles were used and the same fixings as the earlier 760s and also the later 740s.

Yours is the same as a 940 Dave, I'm after the bracket shown in the link.

The bottom of the grille sits in an oval slot which is the bottom of the plastic bracket and the top of the bracket is where the grille goes through it with the V clips.

I've found a V clip on ebay for £5 posted so I've bought that.

I'm not sure what crossmember you're on about Dave as there shouldn't be one there, trust me I've had plenty apart to know

My 1988 760 and my 1990 760 had the same metal V clips as a 940.
