help with blink codes
Need help finding out what system (fuel, ignition, engine etc) the OBD2 PIN numbers refer to and what the codes translate to.
The OBD2 socket is in the centre console in front of the drive selector OBD2 pin number - LED blink reader fault codes 3. - 111 No faults 6 - 145, 414, 417 7 - No blink code indications, should there be? 13 - 122 TIYA

I've been told that my 95 850 does not have the A and B diagnostic blocks under the bonnet. I am reading the codes using something similar to the attached image. I am looking for a cross reference that will tell me how the pins on the ODB2 socket relate to the A &. B diagnostic block sockets?

In that case you might have more success using the Volvo 850 OBD2 app which is available from Google Play Click
You will need to use the app on an android phone and you also require an OBD2 dongle to connect to the car. Not all dongles will work but I can recommend this one Click

I found that all these pins didn't work on my car. The only pins I managed were 3,5 & 16
I fitted my blink code reader into an OBD plug

I have bought the dongle and installed the App, I can see live data when the engine is running. I am trying to find the root cause of a fault, when driving along the engine intermittently cuts out and then restarts. A local garage has replaced most parts related to the ignition and fuel system but the problem persists. How do I setup the dongle to capture and store fault data as I am driving along? parts replaced Fuel pump, this was badly corroded. fuel relay crankshaft sensor camshaft sensor ignition coil distributor cap, original was cracked and corroded. King pin lead??? ecu

Sorry I don't know the answer, I plugged my dongle in, did a scan and when it came back all clear I unplugged it and I've never ventured any further than that. Maybe others on here will be able to assist
