Shhhh don't tell people about that

It is a gift, my mate always says to me "you could sell ice to the Eskimos" and always asks me which car to go for. Last time he went without me he ended up with an Alfa GTV V6 that took me 20 seconds to diagnose with blown heagdaskets!

Just to update this thread. I bought the car a while ago but it's not been delivered until today.

It's going to Luke first who's going to be doing a few bits and pieces for me before I collect and drive back to Scotland

Any tips on 740's welcome

Basically the same as a 940 except it's more difficult to get hold of front end body spares!

You can convert it to a 940 front end and that's that problem solved

Here a few pics of my new 740

She's been owned by the same family for the last 30 years and they have obviously cared for the car very well

Just a baby with 70k

Luke is going to do a service for me before I collect the car and drive back to Scotland

Looks a nice wee beastie Mark, looking forward to the updates! After what you're used to, you'll probably take up knitting to keep you occupied on the slow drive home!

Most of the 740 stuff, especially at that age is the same as 940 stuff, with the facelift it's virtually a 940 without the badge.

I've ordered a pipe and some slippers for the drive home
