L-reg 940 (93 but gets called a 94 model)

Got it in the workshop and have the procedure printed out. I might have a look tomorrow but ideally need to drive it at 5pm....so perhaps not the best idea to start, maybe a Sunday job!! Treated myself to a new set of trim tools.

I love using mine and can't abide things that don't work as they should. I guess if I make a total balls of it that's always the last resort but the seal was expensive and genuine Volvo so I need to succeed!

It’s the sort of job which could unintentionally go slightly wrong and take longer than you think so DON’T start if you have a deadline to use the car.
Bit equally it could be straightforward and only take a couple of hours.
Having done mine once already I could probably do it again in a couple of hours.

It really looks like if you fed the new seal in the right way you could get away without removing the panel....anyway needs a long session so not a job for today as I needed the car tonight!

I did consider that before I did mine but decided that it was not possible. Unfortunately I cannot remember precisely why but I think that it was because the panel headlining prevented it. I suppose that you could try removing the old seal in such a way that reverses the proposed method of fitting the new seal to find out whether it is feasible. Then if it doesn’t work do it by removing the panel as previously described.

Got to be worth a try, if not has to be removed anyway

Nah, had to take out the panel which with a skilled helper was pretty easy! I think we did it in around an hour.
