Default What is normal / too hot for a T5 coolant? (C70)

So, as its been a week with no issues i noticed that the attached obd connected to the car has reported high coolant temp, they car hasnt complained about it but its reported 98 and 99c.

Is this normal?

I would say its not, but also not many people would notice either.

Is the car mapped? or had anything done to it?

These little T5's are notorious for getting very hot in that engine bay. Really depends what your are doing as well.

Probably a nice idea if looking to freshen the car up a bit, getting a bigger intercooler in there as the standard one is awful.

no not mapped, tbh was thinking of getting it mapped as it feels so weedy despite being a T5, but no ive had nothing done to it. Mind you ive not it had it since birth but it certainly doesnt feel mapped.

Was just driving, nothing especially fast or anything.

So is 99c considered too hot?
