Does any one know if the drivers electric seat still works if not in the car...
I.E.
IF I fit it tho another car will it still work or is the seat ECU somewhere else?
When I say another car I mean a land rover

Prob will work, but obviously you will need to be adept with vehicle electrics, but I doubt if the seat module (memory, heating/ventilation) will ever work, but you may possibly be able to jury-rig something for some of the features depending on your electrical skills.

Lets know how you get on.

I was mainly thinking of the seat adjustment as that's a necessity.
The 1995 discovery had no electric seats but I'm sure I rug up some wiring. The heated bit would be nice but only if I find some for the right price. I may end up with a pair that don't have heat. That's okay if they don't. I've never had a car with it so I won't miss it.
Is the seat ECU on the seat?

The seat modules are bolted under the seat with a cable running to the seat control panel on the outer edge of the seat.

Check the part number printed on the seat control module, bolted to the underside of your seat.

Compare to the part number stated in VIDA for your vehicle
Enter your VIN in VIDA to ensure the parts listed are correct for your VIN.

If the part number is not correct, then the seat control module is not correct for your car, and will need to be changed for one that is correct.

You can also search the part number of what you have to find out which vehicles it can be used for. Interesting to find out what it came from and where it can be used....
