Default Sensus Navigation (2014) crashing

I have a 2017 XC60 with the Sensus Navigation (2014). On Sunday, it displayed a notice “Problem communicating with screen. The display will be turned off in 10 seconds”. It then did exactly that, taking a couple of minutes to reboot and showing the Volvo logo part way through. When it did, the climate info bar at the bottom came back first followed by the remainder of the screen. It then continued navigating where it left off.

It did the same today to my wife twice, both times in very inconvenient locations to suddenly lose all nav.

Any ideas?

Having seen on other forums the issue with MOST lock when there is a dodgy connection at the head unit or the amp under the seat. Am going to pick a dry day, then fiddle with connections to see if things improve.
