Glad we have an XC90
The link below is quite old and I apologise if previously posted.
We have had ours 15years now and I'm thinking of changing. Can you guess what manufacturer I'm heading for? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g3UES_f3Bno |

Good choice!!
Just had our xc90 1 month and my wife t-boned a white van who cut across the roundabout at speed; van written off but my wife simply exchanged details, brushed off the glass from his van and carried on to work as had an important meeting. I only found out later that day - slight damage to bonnet and bumper, air bags did not deploy as she was hardly moving. This car is a keeper that we use for long journeys. Recently maniac driving down country lane drove us off the road - fortunately no damage but just please to be in the Volvo - a smaller car would have stuck or overturned in the ditch. We gave the dash cam footage to the police and they prosecuted him |

A guy in a 7.5 tonne Iveco rear ended my Dad's forst XC90.
The Volvo wasn't that badly damaged and was deemed repairable. The Iveco was so badly damaged it was written off.

I remember hearing a bang outside on the road. Went to investigate, where my 940 should have been was an "L-shaped" Rover 600, oil and antifreeze on the carriageway.
The clown had rear- ended it and pushed it about 7-8 metres. It I needed a bumper, rear light glass and shocker bumper mountings. The Rover received the last rites! Tough old boy! |

Not sure whether it was Police Interceptors or Traffic Cops or something on Paramount TV but last week there was an accident featured where a Tesla rear ended a old ~2004 XC90. Tesla driver and passenger cut free and taken to hospital (they were elderly) XC90 drove home...

Whilst stopped at traffic lights a Jaguar X type didn't until it contacted the rear of my first XC90 Mk1.
Fairly slow impact but the Jag's bonnet and grille were buckled, and much fluid leaked. Had my dealer check over my car - not a scratch. The Jag needed £3-4k of repairs apparently.
