Alan's thread on the Royal Barge and, later, the Barge, is informative, well written, often humorous, always well illustrated. If I had a 240, I would see it as a valuable resource on just about anything to do with the car. Rather than requiring us to scroll through numerous pages / posts to locate the information that we require, Alan has thoughtfully provided (and regularly updates) this index.

If, say, you wanted information on fitting rear wheel arch liners, (item #43), you would immediately know that you would find it in post #2516 through #2519. It really is that easy!

What a first class 'User Guide' that was Dave. I suppose I should have provided something like that at the outset, but as I didn't I thank you.

Thank you for your kind words John. Sometimes I feel a little guilty about being too lazy to start another thread when I swapped between the RB and the Barge - but there again it was an almost seamless change and the subject matter is very similar.
