Default bonnet V-O-L-V-O lettering fitment

How on earth do you fit the Volvo lettering badges so they aren't a flappy fit and don't damage the bonnet?

Got some proper new clips from Brookhouse Volvo for ours but they don't fit very well.

Is there a trick?

My daughter saw your avatar over my shoulder and shrieked omg Hayley Williams is a Volvo nut.!
She has been to see them in Glasgow and Manchester and plays their music all the time, she even plays some of their music on piano. Thank god for you Antz she has decided all Volvo people might not be boring old farts like me lol.

Cool Letters

Pop them thru the holes, then apply ablob of silicone sealant on the peg.

I got really frustrated trying to push them on in the confined space behind the bonnet so in the end applied some epoxy glue to the pegs and they have stuck there for a couple of years now.

I put the shaft of a thin drill bit through the clips, twisted the drill bit, thus enlarging the hole a tiny bit..checked fitment with clip and letter off car, then put them on the bonnet, using a small socket as a drift on the back side. Even then, a couple are not as tight as I'd like, although they're not coming off.

I just use blue tack instead of clips. That way they can be easily removed and refitted

I put the gold letters from brookhouse on mine, I just used the clips provided, they needed some fettling to get them to grip properly, but they went on fine and touch wood, they are still there.
