Default Re-offered - 145 Roof Rack

Last April, in response to a 'wanted' post, I offered my 3/4 length wood and metal roof rack to a member of this forum.

He has encountered some difficulties in arranging for it's collection. I offered to take it to last year's VOC for him, but that was not convenient. We have exchanged emails on a number of occasions, but always with the same result.

The last time was just before last Christmas, when he asked for a further extension. I said that I would give him until March 31st to arrange collection. He assured me that he would do so, but I have heard nothing further from him. In fairness, he did make a modest donation at the time, but has been told that this has been used to defray storage costs.

Clearly, he has no intention of collecting this item. Therefore I am re-offering it as free for collection. If anyone would like this rack and is willing to collect it at a mutually convenient time, would they please contact me. I am located close to J23 and J24 of the M1 motorway.

Please, genuine polite requests only - it is disappointing when forum members behave in this way.

Regards, John.

John.
I would be willing to collect your rack. i am a VOC member with a 145 which will be back on the road soon so this will be an ideal period accessory. If it is still available we can arrange a convenient time for collection.

Regards Frank

Great to hear of another 145 down South, will you be attending the BKV at Popham? I look forward to seeing it if so!

I too would have loved this roof rack, but sadly I have no way of collecting it as my 145 is currently off the road and its way too big to fit inside any other vehicle I have!

Not that one. Mine was off the road for around 25 years until it was recommissioned by John Smith and Nigel Ayling. The restoration was covered in the VOC magazine. It just needs a bit of work before the MOT but hopefully should be ready in time for Popham.

Default Now taken - thank you.

Thank you Frank for collecting the rack as arranged earlier today. It was a pleasure meeting you and Lynda, and I look forward to seeing you again at the BKV later this year if at all possible.

Kind regards, John.
