I get comprehensive breakdown cover which insures me (not the vehicle) from AutoAid for £40 a year, if I was married my wife would also be covered at no extra cost.. Can you match this?

Not on price but I've no idea what theirs covers.

It looks like with AutoAid you have to pay for the recovery and then claim the costs back. Not the case with ours.

Yeah, what's the problem with that? It's cheaper and I have full cover. Even though I am aware that this is how the service works strangely when my battery was flat and my car needed jump starting AutoAid sent out a mechanic but I was never even charged; even better!

You had a flat battery and they wouldn't even give you a charge? JOKE

I guess it's fine paying for each breakdown if you've got the cash to cover the cost in the meantime and there are no surprises where you're left without payment. Doesn't that all just add to the hassle of the breakdown though?

I agree, it depends which policy suits the person. I always have cash and don't live from paycheck to paycheck so it works for me and I take advantage of the discount.
