I must say that even though i haven't had the chance to get stuck into it yet, i am really happy with it and it was described to be worse than it really is, but i can see Tattyoldvan's reasons for this!
It has certainly gone to a good home and i'm really pushing on with the other "project" so that i can get started on this!
Got a fair few parts on their way for it now, but could anyone recommend where to get new door seals etc from please?
Replies by PM may be best please!

The door seals from a 240 are superior and fit perfectly. They usually survive well and can be harvested out of Tesco's car park. Or a scrapyard works too.

LOL! Car park accessories eh! I knew a few people who used to shop there!
Many thanks for that useful tip, the problem now is tracking down a 240 in a breakers around here!
They all laugh when i ask if they have any in and say that the banger boys normally grab them before they get stripped. Thats the trouble with having 2 tracks within an 8 mile radius of me i suppose.
I will keep trying though! May even have to talk to the banger boys to see if i can save some parts BEFORE they race them!

just keepit on the hush you got the 145, they been after it for a long long time.

i'll keep an eye out for a cheap 240 breaker. i had all the door seals out for my own 240 as they were bit knackered.

i'll mention after some sealsto couple of banger boys i know!

Well the local banger boys have a 145 now as the one i was talking to in the local breakers the other day was really pleased with himself that he had one!
To his credit though, he has saved what he could that was any good, but from the sounds of it that wasn't much.
Before anyone gets too upset at the thought please bear in mind that the 145 in question was put over the weighbridge as scrap metal rather than put into a breakers for parts to be salvaged.
Not supporting the banger racing scene, but not putting them down either.

There's a pair of new old stock Volvo front wings on German ebay, but very expensive (£450 each). Let me know if you need the link

No problem. I would be surprised if they sell for that, so they might get reslisted cheaper. I'll keep an eye out for you.

Default Volvo 145.

Hello
I was interested to see the photos of your Volvo 145 on the Forum.
I too, have an early 145,also in Californian white, that I am hoping to put back on the road this year.
I have had the car for a while, but my main stumbling block has been sourcing a pair of front wings.Thankfully,a pair has turned up and now I can start work on the car in earnest.
Good luck with your restoration and I would be most interested hear of any updates.
Regards
Sean.

Hi Sean,
Great to hear of another survivor! I am just getting started on this now and hope to get it on the road in a few months time and then treat it as a rolling restoration!
I am still looking for a drivers side front wing (and have a passengers side one on the way) so if you hear of any more then please think of me.
The front valance is also pretty rough, but i think that should repair ok if i can't find a good secondhand one (hint hint!).
It would be great to see some pictures of your car Sean.
