You can get bolt-in adapters to fit a temperature sensor in the side of your pan
https://www.amazon.com/GlowShift-Tra.../dp/B07Q5V3MRK If you are inclined to OCD, you could have it welded in place so you don't have to wonder about the retaining nut ever coming loose and having the bung drop out or deal with a leaky sealing washer. There are also replacement drain plugs that have an NPT threaded hole in the center to fit a temperature sensor. That just strikes me as a lot of hassle because you have to disconnect the sensor to remove the plug to drain the oil. |
