Hi
Anyone know if Volvo do a factory collection for UK buyers where you fly out, tour factory, pick up car and drive back to UK?

It certainly used to be possible for UK buyers.
Best to have a word with dealer, or Volvo Customer Services UK.

I know it is a number of years ago, before Geely took over Volvo, I was going to go to Goteborg to pick up my second XC90, but in the end, I got it delivered.

I wonder why they have stopped this service for UK customers?

Over the years, travelling back from Ijmuiden with DFDS to Tyneside, I have meet several owners of new Volvo's who had picked their cars up from the factory.
All said it was a very good experience.
Sad day, that things have changed.

So few drivers of new Volvos own them so perhaps there's little demand.
It would be like making a special visit to collect a hire car.

I always wanted to do this. It sucks it's still only available to US buyers. I just want a factory tour and to drive it home. No flights and shipping to arrange like for the US customers.
