new to volvo & new XC60

took delivery yesterday from Harratts in Huddersfield - super deal and great service - highly recommended.

ordered late April - and arrived a week earlier than plan.

first impressions of car are excellent - put just shy of 280 miles on yesterday.

have a MY12 D5 Geartronic AWD SE in electric silver - added Volvo detachable tow bar which is extremely neat when removed - also self levelling suspension and front parking sensors.

fortunately it has come with the Tempa spare wheel not the dreaded foam.

brimmed the tank after 100 miles and again after another 180 miles - used 21.81 litres, or 4.79 gallons in old money so returned 37.6 mpg.

100 miles of this was motorway but considering that this took in the northern reaches of the M6 over Shap summit and 80 miles of A roads through Cumbria this was a good first effort. Admittedly I wasn't in a position to floor it but I was easily maintaining the maximum road speeds throughout.

Looking forward to life with the XC60.

Ordered my XC60 D5 SE LUX Geartronic from Harratts of Huddersfield. They even beat a price that I was quoted by a reputible online broker. VERY HAPPY, Can't wait for the car
