Default Rebooting Sensus

Got this from Volvo recently which I hadnt seen before. Worked for my issue and could be useful for others.

"Please could you hold the button on the centre console, the screen will then go blank ( and a message will show "Cleaning mode"), please continue to hold. This re-sets the infotainment system and should rectify the issue you are having."

You probably don't have sensus mate, you have the google unit assuming yours is a 22 model.

I have Sensus for sure.
I do not have the google version (AAOS)
Even though it is classed as MY22, I got the car October 2021

In that case I would try shutting the screen off like normal then hold the button and wait 30 seconds to see if it does it then,

It could be ign on or off dependant as well.

Actually there is a reset setting in settings so maybe the OP's is older and doesn't have the setting to reset.

Reset in settings wipes everything, and you have to type everything in again

Soft reboot vs hard reboot, I'm not sure mine does anything either other than turn the screen off if I hold the button.

If this is the problem with Sensus randomly rebooting itself then mine was fixed (so far at least) by a software upgrade at its last service.
