Help with R design problems
After some general help, as per previous posts with this car always had problems with gearbox, small water leak etc and think time has come to chop it in for another car but would love to “fix” it.
1. No fault codes on VIDA 2. Using more fuel than normal average around town 23mpg. 3. Sooty around the exhaust tailpipes (wonder if the EGR has a problem? Would this cause bad MPG/sooty exhaust?) 4. Gearshift have always been odd (has had new valve body, many oil changes, reconditioned gearbox fitted, new rad (in case leaking into gearbox oil cooler) 5. Recently now has a boost leak but not orange seals, no leaks at boost pipes? So with the above you can see after a few years of ownership think time to move it on, but problem is what to buy! Need something with 7 seats, tow caravan and track car etc. The car hasn’t been to a Volvo Indy as can’t find any local, I’m more than competent to fix it if I knew what the faults were! But naturally with cars one doesn’t want to keep throwing money away…. Any help would be appreciated from people who may have had similar problems. |

Flood. Ive not had the same problems as you...But i know a very very good Volvo Indy down in Clacton on Sea if thats any good. Ryan Buck is his name, ex Colchester Volvo Mech. Really knows his stuff.
Let me know and ill pass on his number. Or join the Volvo XC90 UK Owners Club on Facebook. He is on there. DB.
