About to take delivery of an XC90, but need to take the necessary precautions re kiddies' feet, food etc.

Any suggestions regarding protective covers/mats etc most welcome.

Treated my new xc90 to the reversible Volvo carpet boot mat, which comes in two pieces, allowing it to be used in 5 or 7 seat configuration. Fits nicely, although would not be as waterproof as the moulded alternative.
Managed to persuade my local dealer to take 10% off - worth asking.
Read somewhere else on this site that the moulded boot liner obscures the fixing points for the Volvo dog guard - not sure of the full details but may be a factor?
