What size bolts/nuts and torx screws are the most common on the 960? I have a hankering to buy some good new tools (and SWMBO is away this weekend! :D )

RE: Tools
Try a combination spanner set covering from 6mm up to about 20mm.
A socket set covering from 10mm up to 16mm. These should get you into most of the car. There will be some items requiring deep sockets (steering wheel locking nut for example). I think that it is safe to say most of the use will be in the 10mm to 16mm range. One of the many combination screwdriver kits covering the standard slot, phillips and torx head sizes should also help. As an extra, try one of the telescopic rods with a built in magnet on the end for those ocasions when you drop small bits into confined spaces.

RE: Tools
You could contact Ian Ashton to see if he has a 960 tool kit for sale. He got me a very complete kit for my 945 for £10. The 945 kit clips into the vertical trim between the wheel arch and the tailgate on the right hand side (driver's). You may need to be a VOC member to do this or know a VOC member who will purchase it for you. All the best, Peter |

RE: Tools
Thanks for the replies. I missed the vast hiding holes of the 740 for tools etc. I shall contact Mr Ashton next week to see if he can arrange something for me.
Cheers, Graeme |
