Default V90 DAB Constant Station Drop Outs

Hi All, my first post after joining this fantastic community.
https://www.volvov40club.com/threads...d-issue.37307/

Im having issues in my 18 Plate V90 with DAB stations constantly losing reception and after searching discovered i the thread above which talks about checking the DAB module connections first.
Id like to try this but don't know where the DAB module is located, wondered if anyone knows?
Many Thanks in advance

I had similar problems after using a different usb fast charger then usual. Unplugged it and signal was back to normal.

I have similar issues and it seems to improve when not charging a phone. Guessing there's some kind of EMF interference.

DAB reception in my XC90 in and around Leeds and Bradford (major cities!) is so poor that I have given up with it.

It means I have to listen to Radio 5 Live via my BBC Sounds on my phone because in the wisdom of Volvo, there isn't a way to receive MW radio in my £60k car

I doubt any car provides MW, irrespective of how much it cost.

That's my point about the "wisdom" - they provide DAB but no MW and it doesn't work.

No matter how much research I've tried, I don't know if it's an issue with the car or the DAB service itself

Have you taken it to the dealer to see if there are any error codes?

No, maybe that's an option. It's intermittent and keeps dropping out saying "no reception".

I have a friend who lives nearby with a similar age XC90, I'll ask him if his does the same.

Had the same last weekend driving down to St Albans, certain stations would just pause, no reception, then back on.

I think some of the smaller stations tend to do it, BBC 1, 3, 6 music etc were fine. Problem with DAB is that being digital, if the signal drops then silence. In the old days you could just retune ever so slightly.

It may be the car, but I don't thing DAB is all its cracked up to be.

I had the same issue on my 2018 XC60, and I only just started getting it happening, turns out i have a short circuit happening when the rear window electronic de mister is turned on, so i only started getting the issue in the cold when useing the heated rear window (it’s actually the near side rear pocket window). Volvo are actually replacing that window today which should hopefully solve the issue.
