I am in the process of retro fitting heated seats to my 04 S60, powered drivers seat, no heated seats.
So far I have collected together 2x modules and wires to connect to the existing box under there, and 2x donor seats that I have stripped (what a NIGHTMARE that was! HOG RINGS??..wow. ) for their heaters. I also have the CCM buttons, and a plan for getting the software aspect sorted.. Nearly there, just need to put it all together. I think I may have missed something vital though, or at least am baffled. I've yet to remove my current seats to start transplanting. On my existing unheated seats there's a plastic box, with what looks like 2 connectors (larger box in photo) On my donor heated seats, this box has an extra female connector, which is on the end of a short lead out of the heated seat module and sits along side the orange and grey connectors there. The two empty sockets on the heater module are for the heat pads. I can't see what goes into this 'extra' female connector though! Can anyone help? Ideally with a picture / diagram.. Might I be missing some wiring in the car? It's really hard to get right under there at the front of the seat to take a look with the existing seats in situ ![]() On the photo, the grey connector is the mystery to me - what plugs into this. Small black box == heated seat control module. If this retrofit actually sees success eventually, I'll be posting a full guide here as it sees to come up a lot with mixed success, and I think the more info, the merrier! Thanks for any help you can give! Last edited by jolleychris; Jan 20th, 2016 at 21:14. |

Good luck with the software side, I did this (actually swapped the seats) and Volvo couldn't install it, so I ripped it all out and installed a complete aftermarket kit.
Hint: Use small tiewraps instead of hog rings to put it back together. I think that grey connector is for the seatbelt stalk wiring, but it's been a while..... |

This might be an easier option and won't need any software: http://www.volvoforums.org.uk/showthread.php?t=192883
