Y2blade, you've obviously never been to a BKV, because Peter Smethurst always wins the 164 section judging there. The car is immaculate in every respect - I know as I've been all over and under it, it knocks my nice 164E into a cocked hat, a worthy winner every time.

Go to this years BKV and see for yourself - its nearer your location than mine, yet I'll be there again in my 164 - just to swell the numbers you understand! Location details on here somewhere (if you don't belong to the club so need directions).

Hi Paul you are right, I have never been.
I'm going to amend that by going to Southern BKV at Calne this coming Sunday.
I intend on going up to The National Rally & BKV at Thoresby Hall in June.

Thank you for the info, hopefully see you and your car in the not to distant future.

Yep Chris - hope to be at the SBKV in my 164E rather than my Amazon estate (as thats out of legality right now). Will be at the Beaulieu Spring Autojumble/classic show the day before, as it seems I'm the only VOC member willing and able to mann the VOC stand there. Still, it gives me the chance of picking up some Volvo goodies.
Hope it doesn't rain - it always has on previous SBKVs - as I'm camping Sat night somewhere between the two places!
Wish I'd gone to the Swedish day after all, but can't go everywhere I suppose.

Very impressive- an oil change must be like handling plutonium! Admirable, but I do like cars to have some age consistent patina. Jimmy
